Different Regional Dishes in Spain Restaurants
When you travel Spain you will not only think of how great the place is and what are the wonders you will witness in Spain. You cannot have the total enjoyment if you miss to taste the different dishes in the many Spanish restaurants in Spain. Every region in Spain is known for its on special cuisines so there’s no reason for you to skip the restaurants that await you to experience their perfectly flavored Spanish dishes. Here are the different regions and their cuisines you should not forget.
- The cocido madrilène (Madrid’s Chickpea stew) is a dish prepared with vegetables, potatoes, and meat. This dish is most popular during winter but is still served in Madrid restaurants.
- Catalonia is known for its traditional rice dishes and seafood but there is something in Catalonia that you will love aside from their rice dishes and this is their desserts. Starting from the sweet Crème brulee or better known as burnt cream. It consists of a rich custard base topped with hard caramel through caramelizing sugar under a broiler.
- In Andalusia the common dishes are fried fish, salmorejo and gazpacho. Salmojero is a soup consists of tomato and bread that originated in Cordoba, Spain. Unlike any other soup, salmojero is served cold with diced ham and hard- boiled eggs. Gazpacho is another soup with tomato and raw vegetable as the main ingredients. It is most common during summer months because of its refreshing taste.
- Valencia is very well known for its Paella. This dish is very popular in Spanish families during Sundays. You can also find this dish at the celebration of falles, one of the biggest holidays in the place. And of course all Valencia restaurants surely have paella in their special dishes.
With these tasteful dishes you can find in many regions of Spain you can longer refuse its inviting flavor of Spanish cuisines. Spain has reached the top of being a tourist destination.
